A Carbon County driver was cited following a hit-and-run crash in Luzerne County. State police at Hazleton said the incident occurred on March 30 at 10:26 p.m. off Oakridge Road in Hazle Township, in the parking lot of an area business.

Troopers said Jeremiah L. Ortiz, 19, of Lansford, operating a 2005 Mazda 3 backed into a parked 2018 Honda Accord, owned by Xavier Irizarry Perez, 36, of Hazleton, causing minor damages. Ortiz then left the scene without notifying police or the owner of the Honda.

Oritz was later identified as the driver involved and cited for duty to give information and render aid.
