At its spring luncheon meeting held at the Mahoning Valley Country Club, the Carbon County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees honored James Wentz, Lehighton, as its inductee into the John J. Dillon Service Hall of Fame.

Wentz was recognized for his longtime service as a teacher and coach in the Lehighton Area School District. He also served as president of the local chapter in 1995-96.

Mary Ellen Poe, a colleague of Wentz and assistant treasurer of the PASR chapter, presented the award to Wentz.
