Adoptions

Did you know you can adopt a Lehigh Valley Zoo animal?

Visit www.shoplvzoo.com/adopt to view animals up for symbolic adoption.

All proceeds from the ADOPT purchases go directly toward animal education and conservation efforts at Lehigh Valley Zoo.

Every symbolic adoption comes with a photo of your adopted animal, a fact sheet about the animal, either an adult or two children zoo tickets, a stuffed animal and a personalized certificate of the adoption.

Current animals include the mongoose lemur, leopard tortoise, Mexican gray wolf, red kangaroo, Linnaeus’ sloth, Masai giraffe, American bison and African penguin.

Mother’s Day

Celebrate the special mother figure in your life at the Lehigh Valley Zoo on Mother’s Day on May 8.

Sample Bird Friendly coffee and check out some local vendors while you go for a stroll around the zoo.

The zoo will feature a variety of crafts for kids to make to show their appreciation for mom. Plus stop by the exercise yard for some animal mingles.

Mothers will receive a free flower from Rich Mar Florist upon entry while supplies last.

Plus, enjoy live music by acclaimed artist Kristen Morgenstern from noon-2 p.m. on the dining deck

Preston’s Pad

Join the Lehigh Valley Zoo on May 14 to celebrate the reopening of Preston’s Pad on World Migratory Bird Day!

Sample eco-conscious Bird Friendly Coffee while learning about native habitats and the conservation of songbirds and pollinators. You can even learn how to create your own native habitat in your backyard.

PPL Electric Utilities will be on site for a native plants giveaway while supplies last, and Edge of the Woods Native Plants will be on site with messaging about the importance of native plants and habitats.

This event will be held from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in Preston’s Pad.

Red, Wine and Blue Festival

The sixth annual Red, Wine & Blue Festival at the Lehigh Valley Zoo will take place on May 28 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Sample wine, cider, and more from premier wineries and distilleries around the Lehigh Valley. Try out gourmet treats from artisan vendors as you make your way around the zoo.

Enjoy music from Frank Porter and Glenwood from noon-2 p.m. on the dining deck and at the Farm in the Zoo area!

Stop by Geakers at the Zoo to get your favorite gourmet tacos, burgers, hotdogs, and so much more.

There will be interactive exhibits to learn about some of the animals that call the Lehigh Valley Zoo home. Plus check out Earth Day themed crafts and interactive games and activities.

Father’s Day

Join the zoo on Father’s Day from noon-3 p.m. for the second annual Hops for Pops beer sampling event.

Travel around the zoo and sample over 20 types of beer, plus enjoy Father’s Day crafts and activities.

A valid photo ID is required to participate in this event and tasting passes are required in addition to zoo admission.

Zoocoustic Night at the Zoo

Looking for the perfect excuse to hang out with friends and family while listening to a variety of music?

Mark your calendars and join the Lehigh Valley Zoo on July 23 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. for the fourth annual Zoocoustic Night at the Zoo fundraising event.

Come enjoy the valley’s most unique music venue featuring acoustic music from your favorite local artists. Attendees who are 21 and older will also have the opportunity to sample the offerings of several local wineries and breweries. A variety of food, beer, wines, seltzers and ciders will also be available for purchase.

Stages will be located throughout the zoo where musicians will be playing simultaneously and music will be continuous throughout the event.

Guests must be 21 years of age or older with valid photo ID to sample wine or purchase alcoholic refreshments.

All proceeds from this fundraising event go toward the zoo’s conservation mission of saving species and creating a greener future.
