State police at Frackville reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers in Schuylkill County:
• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 6:07 p.m. on April 23 along A Street at N. Second Street in Girardville. Troopers said James H. Pitts, 82, of Girardville, was driving a 2012 Jeep Cherokee westbound when he said his foot got stuck on the gas pedal, causing him to lose control. The Jeep went through the intersection with North Second Street, then entered a grass yard and hit a shed. It then traveled down a small embankment, rotated 180 degrees, and rolled over onto the driver’s side where it came to rest facing west.
Pitts was extricated from the wreckage by first responders and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital East, Pottsville, by Shenandoah ambulance for treatment. The vehicle was towed.
He was cited for the crash.
• Aone-vehicle crash was reported at 11:28 p.m. on April 16 along Route 924 in East Union Township. Troopers said Victoria L. Daly, 22, of Freeland, was driving a 2015 Infiniti Q50 northbound when she lost control negotiating a curve. The vehicle went onto the berm and struck an embankment, rolling onto its side.
Daly was not injured but the vehicle was towed.
She was cited for the crash.
