Regional crashes
Area state police responded to crashes throughout the region:
State police at Hazleton
• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 6:19 a.m. on April 8 along Interstate 81 in Butler Township.
Troopers said Dustin K. Anderson, 27, of Nesquehoning, driving a 2016 Nissan Sentra, was northbound in the left lane when Brian R. Baylor, 51, of Berwick, driving a 2019 Ford F550 truck, merged onto I-81 and struck Anderson’s vehicle. After impact the Sentra left the road on the west side and struck a tree.
Anderson had aminor injury and was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton campus. Baylor was not injured. The Sentra had to be towed.
Baylor was cited for the crash.
• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 5:52 a.m. on April 19 along I-81 in Hazle Township. Troopers said Brandon L. Reshetar, 25, of Kelayres, was driving a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander northbound when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle struck guide rail along the berm on the east side.
Reshetar was not injured but the vehicle was towed.
Schuylkill Haven
Skye A. Witmer, 21, of Wyomissing, was cited by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks with failure to drive at a safe speed following a crash at 1:25 a.m. April 2 on Route 895 (Market Street) in West Brunswick Township.
Police said she was driving a 2001 Subaru Outback west on Route 895 when it traveled through water in the road causing her to lose control of the vehicle. Police said it traveled off the roadway and crashed into a small tree/shrub before striking a parked 2016 Ford F-150.
Police said the impact with the F-150 pushed it into a residence, resulting in a 2016 Mazda that was in the garage of the home also being damaged.
All three vehicles sustained disabling damages.
Witmer was uninjured.
Bethlehem
State police at the Bethlehem barracks were summoned at 7:51 p.m. April 12 to a crash on Route 22 in South Whitehall Township.
Police said the incident involved a motorcycle and a 2004 Ford F-150 driven by Kenneth Horodenski, 79, of New Tripoli, who police said was not injured.
Police did not release any other details.
