Group helps clean up in Chestnuthill

In honor of Earth Day members of Pride in Chestnuthill spent the better part of Saturday picking up trash on Weir Lake Road from Kinsley’s ShopRite to the intersection with Route 115.

Matt Klein, one of the leaders, said they chose Weir Lake Road because of the amount of trash that covered the sides of the road.

“It is really a shame that the roads are so covered in trash and it is hard to get volunteers,” Mike Getz said.

The Pride in Chestnuthill Committee invites people to join in helping keep the community both clean and green.

“Our award winning committee, in our 16th year of community service, concentrates its efforts on the beautification of our attractive rural township. With the increase in population, our roadsides need more attention to keep them as beautiful as we know they can be. But we need your help,” Getz said.
