State police at Fern Ridge

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following incidents:

• On April 6 at 12:48 troopers were dispatched to the 100 block of Chestnut Lake Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for a report of a possible overdose. On scene troopers were unable to located a possible victim. A verbal domestic was observed in a trailer. During the investigation it was determined that was where the 911 call was made concerning the overdose.

One of the women involved in the domestic, Marisabel Macea, 28, no address, had an active warrant for her arrest out of New Jersey. When troopers attempted to take her into custody she pulled away. After a brief struggle she was taken into custody and transported to the county prison in Snydersville.

• On April 6 at 10:17 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2004 Honda Accord along Route 209 at Route 715, in Chestnuthill Township. The driver, a 23-year-old woman from Saylorsburg, who troopers declined to identify, was found to be under the influence and taken into custody. Charges were pending test results.

• On April 2 at 11:58 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 truck at Greenhill Road and Birch Drive in Polk Township, Monroe County. The driver, a 21-year-old man from Kunkletown, was found to be under the influence and was taken into custody. Charges are pending test results.

• On April 17 at 6:40 p.m. troopers responded to Woodcrest Avenue at Birch Hollow Drive in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for a report of an assault.

During the investigation it was determined that Joseph Vantine, 22, of Albrightsville, had assaulted his caretaker, a 54-year-old woman from Albrightsville. He was taken into custody and charged with simple assault, harassment and related offenses.

• On March 29 at 8:35 p.m. troopers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Woodcrest Avenue in Chestnuthill Township, for a disturbance. Police said Elijah Mattaur, 24, of Effort, was intoxicated and had an altercation with family. Mattaur then entered a 2013 Subaru and placed the car in reverse and struck a parked 2005 Honda Accord causing damages.

It was determined that during the incident two children, girls ages 1 and 3, were inside the Subaru.

Mattaur was charged the two counts of endangering the welfare of children.

• On April 14 at 12:15 p.m. troopers were dispatched to Lizzie Lane in Chestnuthill Township for a report of a cut lock on a gate. As a result of an investigation Richard Curry, 36, of Effort, was issued a citation for criminal mischief.

• On April 18 at 12:40 a.m. troopers responded to a residence along Lower Mountain Drive in Chestnuthill Township, for a report of a theft. A 19-year-old woman from Effort, who troopers declined to identify, removed a game console and television from the residence of a 28-year-old man from Effort without permission. She fled the scene.

• On April 15 at 6:38 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2011 Honda Pilot at Valley and Merwinsburg roads, in Chestnuthill Township, for a traffic violation. The driver, a 42-year-old woman from Saylorsburg, who troopers declined to identify, was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. A consent search of the vehicle was conducted and controlled substances and drug paraphernalia were found.

She was taken into custody and transported to the county prison in Snydersville. Charges are pending test results.

• On April 6 at 10:17 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop at Routes 209 and 715, in Chestnuthill Township, of a 2004 Honda Accord for traffic violations. The driver, a 23-year-old woman from Saylorsburg, who troopers declined to identify, was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. She was taken into custody. Charges are pending test results.
