A Berks County teen was killed in a all terrain vehicle crash on Friday.

State police at Hamburg said the crash occurred a 5:50 p.m. in the area of 289 Virginville Road in Perry Township.

Troopers said a 13-year-old girl from Hamburg was operating a 2000 Polaris Trailboss ATV westbound when she lost control while riding along the shoulder. The ATV traveled off the road and struck a fence and overturned. The teen was ejected from the ATV and came to rest along the road.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.
