Carbon County agencies will gather for the 11th annual Human Services Priorities Breakfast on April 22.
The event, hosted by the Carbon County Collaborative, will take place at Whispering Pines Banquet Hall, Penn Forest Volunteer Fire Co. 1, 1387 Route 903, Jim Thorpe. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., breakfast begins at 9 and the program will start at 9:30 and wrap up by noon.
This year’s theme is Carbon County Resiliency, which will cover issues relating to the county’s accomplishments and dedication to the community.
“It’s about how we survived, and the challenges we faced during COVID,” said Commissioners’ Chairman Wayne Nothstein, who is on the breakfast organizing committee.
He also noted it will cover suicides, mental health issues, caseloads and how all this created a ripple effect through various agencies.
