Tamaqua police released information on the following cases:
• Police charged George E. Darker, of Tamaqua, with violating a Protection from Abuse order on April 2.
According to police, officers were called to an address on Hazle Street in Tamaqua and talked to a woman who said Darker was attempting to make contact with her from her backyard and front porch. She told police she had a protection order against him as of April 1.
Officers spotted Darker in the area and took him in to custody. He had a copy of the PFA in his pocket, police said.
He was arraigned in Tamaqua district court and committed to the Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000 cash bail.
• Tamaqua police charged Edward J. Dalvet III, 41, of Tamaqua, with disorderly conduct following an alleged incident at 12:45 p.m. March 30.
According to police, officers were in the 400 block of Arlington Street when they heard yelling and screaming. As police were searching for the source of the noise, they were advised by the Schuylkill County Communications Center that a man was yelling on the 400 block of Hazle Street.
Police said the man, later identified as Dalvet, has been causing disturbances since February and has previous disorderly conduct arrests.
