– Jim Thorpe’s Matt Reabold comes through with a seventh and final inning single to provide his teammates a thrilling 4-3 triumph over host Bishop Hafey. Reabold, it will be remembered, did the same thing in the season debut against Freeland, beating the Whippets when he rapped a hard drive to deep center scoring Jim Albert. Against the Vikings, he plates Vince Bocina with the game-winner. Olympian Bill Rieck goes the distance on the mound to get the pitching win.
