On March 31, students in the Weatherly Area Elementary school learned all about being safe.
Bill McQuilken, the Trauma Prevention Coordinator with Lehigh Valley Health Network, brought “Safety Town” to the Weatherly Middle School gymnasium.
Students in Pre-K to second grade learned information regarding the bus, 911, kitchen safety, pet safety, bike safety, and seat belts, to name a few.
Volunteers who helped with the event oversaw 10 safety stations for the students.
Upon completing the event, each student received a gift bag with safety tip information and a coloring book.
The LVHN group travels from county to county and is now in Carbon County.
