Leonard Benick of Jim Thorpe was re-elected president of the Kemmerer Memorial Playground Association in the community during a meeting held last night in the YMCA.

Other officers retained are William Hiller, vice president; Gertrude Weiss, secretary; and Sam Miller, treasurer and park supervisor.

Miller reported on plans to improve upon the appearance of the bank fronting the courthouse parking lot, this being an eyesore at present, especially to visitors arriving to tour the Asa Packer Mansion. Topsoil is to be applied, after which greens will be planted.

Handrailing will also be installed on the new steps leading from the bottom of Packer Hill to the playground entrance.
