– Brenda Morgans strikes out 10 and allows just three hits as the Panther Valley girls softball team scores its second win in as many starts with a 16-4 triumph over West Hazleton. The Panthers supply plenty of power with the bat to back up the pitching of Morgans as they slam out 15 safe-sackers, including four by Abbie Bliss. Lyn Yurchak, Karen Piscelli and Morgans collect two hits apiece for the winners. Christy Phillips is a demon on the base paths, stealing seven bases.
