– Two home runs by Steph Wurst and another by Rosie Tichy lift the Pleasant Valley softball team to a 19-8 Centennial League victory over Notre Dame of Green Pond. After ND takes a four-run lead in the top of the first inning, the Bears came back with three runs on Wurst’s round-tripper. The Crusaders then go up 7-3 before the Bear bats explode, scoring in every inning en route to the 10-run shortened game. Amy Harris aids the Bear attack with three hits, while Donna Flurer earns the pitching win.
