Severe thunderstorms possible today
The National Weather Service has issued an alert that scattered severe thunderstorms are possible today.

Today: Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 5 p.m. Some of the storms could be severe. Cloudy, with a high near 64. Breezy, with an east wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Tonight: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before midnight, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between midnight and 3 a.m., then a slight chance of showers after 3 a.m. Some of the storms could be severe. Low around 44. South wind 5 to 15 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Friday: A chance of showers, mainly after 8 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 51. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 30. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 53. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
