The Palmerton boys and girls opened the season with victories over Salisbury on Tuesday.

The Palmerton boys and girls both split their Colonial League track and field meet against Palisades and Salisbury.

The two Blue Bomber squads defeated the Falcons, while falling to the powerful Pirates.

Palmerton’s Nataly Walters registered three individual firsts in the girls meet, taking the 200, long and triple jumps, and also was a part of the winning 400 relay team. The Bombers also received two firsts from Emma Martinez (800, 1600) and one each from Jessica Heydt (shot put) and Ana Recker (pole vault).

In the boys meet, Devon White had two firsts for Palmerton, claiming the 100 and 200, and also teaming up for a win in the 400 relay. Other Bomber wins came from Brance Fronheiser (400), Owen Hibell (800) and Reilly Burke (110 hurdles),
