The H.D. Buehler Memorial Pool in Tamaqua will open for swimming at 11 a.m. May 28.
Applications for season passes are available at the Tamaqua Municipal Building, Tamaqua Post Office, Tamaqua Public Library, Boyer’s Food Market, Fegley’s Mini-Mart and Our Family Mini-Mart. Application forms are also available on the borough website at https://tamaquaborough.com/ and the borough Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/TamaquaBorough
Application forms, including payment and proof of residency, must be returned to the Tamaqua Municipal Building, 320 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, PA 18252. Checks and money orders must be made payable to “Borough of Tamaqua.” Application forms and proof of residency (copy of a utility bill or driver’s license) can be dropped off, mailed or placed in the drop box at the main entrance.
Season pool passes for residents of the Tamaqua Area School District are $10 per person. These discounted rates are made possible through a donation from the John E. Morgan Foundation.
Season pool passes for people who live outside the Tamaqua district are $100 per person.
Season pass holders can also apply for temporary guest passes for visitors staying with them this summer.
These passes are $20 per person per week for no more than two weeks.
Daily passes for district residents are $5 on weekdays and $6 on weekends. Daily passes for children under 6 years old are $1 per day.
Daily passes for people who live outside the district are $15 on weekdays $20 on weekends. Daily passes for children under 6 years old are $1 per day.
