Tamaqua’s Clifford will play softball at Eastern

Tamaqua’s Bryn Clifford has announced that she will continue her academic and softball careers at Eastern University.

Eastern is an NCAA Division 3 school located in St. Davids, PA.

This spring, Clifford will be in her fourth year as a member of the Blue Raider softball program. Over her career, she has played second base, shortstop, outfield and pitcher.

At the plate, Clifford had a .380 career batting average. On the mound, she has a 13-13 record with a 2.22 ERA and 201 strikeouts. She did almost all of her pitching last season as a junior, piling up 185 strikeouts and throwing one no-hitter, helping her earn second team All-Schuylkill League honors.

In addition to softball, Clifford is a member of the English National Honor Society, the Foreign Language National Honor Society, the World

Language Club, and Step-up.

Bryn is the daughter of James and Patricia Clifford. She plans on majoring in Kinesiology at Eastern.
