Northampton Community College is expanding its workforce training and education programs to better support municipalities in the region that often have limited options when it comes to addressing related needs for managers and employees.
“We know local municipalities face many hurdles when it comes to employee training and education,” said Thomas Barnowski, NCC’s director of corporate and public safety education. “We’re able to offer municipalities a breadth of customized solutions for up-skilling, re-skilling, team building and focused learning experiences.”
According to Barnowski, in many cases Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund Act dollars are available to municipal offices to cover costs for training and education. “For those offices that operate on tight budgets, that can make the difference of being able to afford training or not,” said Barnowski.
NCC is offering programs in Health and Safety Training, Leadership, Multi-Dimensional Workplace De-Escalation, Maintenance Skills, and Team Building. For program details and more information go to https://info.northampton.edu/employee-training.
