Breakfast
An all-you-can-eat breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at the Bowmanstown Rod & Gun Club, 525 Club Road, Palmerton. Buffet items include eggs to order, potatoes, pancakes, SOS, toast, cereal, hash, ham, bacon, sausage, OJ, coffee, tea, and milk. All are welcome.
Food pantry
The CACPAC sponsored Palmerton Food Pantry will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church 2915 Fireline Road, Palmerton, March 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The pantry supports residents of the Palmerton Area School District only and you will need to show proof of residency and answer questions regarding your income.
This is a drive-thru event so please remain in your vehicle and follow directions given to you by the volunteers. If you are unable to attend, someone may pick up for you.
The pantry is always in need of nonperishable food items, and paper and personal care items. Donations may be dropped off at 459 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton. A box is on the front porch for donations. Local churches also collect on a regular basis.
Lions Club bingo
The Palmerton Area Lions’ Club sponsors a cash bingo every Tuesday night at the Towamensing Fire Company, Route 209, Trachsville. Doors open at 4 p.m. Warm-ups start at 6 p.m. and the main bingo session starts at 6:30 p.m. Food is available for purchase.

Lenten service
Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trachsville and St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fireline Road, Palmerton share Lenten services. For the service on March 23 the service will be held at St. John’s.
Services begin with fellowship at 6 p.m., followed by worship at 7 p.m.
Ham and dandelion dinner
A takeout only ham and dandelion dinner will be held at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trachsville, on April 9 from 4-6 p.m. Tickets must be preordered by March 28.

Clothing drive Scout fundraiser
A clothing drive Scout camp fundraiser sponsored by Troop 5209 Girls will be held at the Palmerton Rod & Gun Club, 225 Gun Club Road, Palmerton, on April 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All items must be in trash bags and someone will unload them from your car.
They will be collecting clothing (all styles and sizes), shoes, accessories (purses, backpacks, belts, hats, gloves, socks, scarves, ties), household items (blankets, sheets, pillows, bedspreads, towels, curtains, tablecloths).
BWC
Bethany Wesleyan Church, 457 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, holds worship services at 9 and 10:30 a.m. each Sunday.
This Sunday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. is Crazy Sock Sunday for children of all ages in the Kids Area. Come to church in your craziest pair of socks you can find!
