Services set for Tamaqua man killed in Berks crash

Funeral services have been announced for a Tamaqua man killed in a crash Monday morning on Route 61 in Berks County.

Jordan Michael Smith, 22, of Penn Street Tamaqua, was born Sept. 7, 1999 in Lehighton.

He was the son of Michelle (Matula) McHose and father, Michael X. Smith Sr.

A 2018 Tamaqua Area High School graduate, he attended vocational technical school, earning his certification in masonry.

He was employed with the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craft Workers. Previously Jordan worked at Highwood in Tamaqua. Jordan enjoyed cars, and working on them. He was a member of St. John U.C.C. of Tamaqua.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation services, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua.

A funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday from the funeral home.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
