– A nightmarish first quarter buried the Marian Fillies in a hole they could never recover from, allowing Lebanon Catholic to post a 62-48 victory in the second round of the PIAA Class A State Tournament.

The winning Beavers, the District 3 champion, dominated the game’s early stages, building a 22-2 lead after one quarter, then proceeding to advance to the Eastern semifinal against Lourdes Regional. The closest Marian would get was nine points on seven different occasions in the second half.

Brynn Miscavige had 16 points to lead the Fillies. She, Kim Horvath, Susie Boyle and Katie Moran all siuted up for the last time for the Hometown squad.
