State police at Frackville

State police at Frackville reported on the following incidents investigated by troopers in Schuylkill County:

• On March 4 at 4:26 p.m. troopers were dispatched to Union Street in Brockton, Schuylkill Township, concerning the theft of a motor vehicle. It was determined that a 34-year-old man from Brockton, who troopers declined to identify, stole the 2003 Chevrolet Malibu of a 65-year-old man from Brockton. He was taken into custody and charged.

• On Feb. 26 at 11:50 a.m. at Altamont Boulevard and Bacon Avenue, West Mahanoy Township, Jeffrey Miller, 51, of Gilberton, was taken into custody on a warrant. He was found to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. He was committed to the county prison in Pottsville on the warrant. Drug charges to be filed.

• On March 4 at 3:35 p.m. troopers were notified of a theft occurring along Valley Road in Cass Township. Schuylkill Company Contracting, of Pottsville, reported someone removed a roll of coated commercial copper wiring from the firm’s property. The theft occurred sometime between Feb. 28 ant March 3. Estimated replacement value of the copper was set at $2,000.

• On March 2 troopers responded to a criminal mischief report along Tuscarora Mountain Road in Ryan Township. A 74-year-old woman from Barnesville, reported someone drove a vehicle on her lawn leaving multiple tire marks and damaging the lawn. The incident occurred sometime between Feb. 27 and 2:30 p.m. on March 2, when it was reported. Damages were estimated at $500.
