. A winter storm warning remains in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
Heavy snow is expected, with total snow accumulations of 6 to 8 inches, with winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
Rain will begin after 4 a.m., with new precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Rain will change to snow after 9 a.m., with areas of blowing snow after 11 a.m.
Temperatures will fall to around 26 degrees by 3 p.m.
Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches and blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Strong winds develop late Saturday morning and continue into the afternoon. There may be a lull Saturday evening before increasing once again.
