The Lehighton centennial headquarters opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the site, 117 S. First St., which will be utilized as an information bureau for the borough’s 100th birthday celebration activities.

Mayor Albert U. Koch and general centennial committee chairman Ervin L. Hawk helped cut the ribbon opening the center, which will be manned by members of the Brothers of the Brush, Centennial Belles and other committee members.

Harry Hutchinson is serving as chairman of the headquarters committee.
