A petition is being circulated throughout the Borough of Summit Hill in regards to the borough acquiring the vacant Washington high school building on West Hazard Street in that community.

Residents have studied its use as a community center serving the welfare of residents of the town and also as a physical education and safety welfare center for the children of the community.

Thomas Barr Jr., East White Street, is spearheading the petition drive after having received numerous cards and letters from residents who want the town to retain the building as borough property.
