March 7, 2009 - Northwestern’s Evan Yenolevich uses two reversals and two nearfall points in the second period to help gain a 7-4 victory over Coty Bunett of Greenville in the PIAA State 2A 125-pound championship match. Yenolevich, who ends the year with a record of 38-1, becomes the seventh Tiger to win a state gold medal. Northwestern, coached by Brad Kleckner, also receives a seventh-place medal from Dylan Long at 103 pounds. Northern Lehigh finishes with three medalists as Kris Krawchuk (140) and Colin Hedash (160) both place fourth, and Craemer Hedash claimes eighth at 145.
