A White Haven, Luzerne County, man was spared a prison term on Tuesday when the Carbon County court placed him in a house arrest program on a driving under the influence charge.
Paul Anthony Jr., 58, was placed in the Restrictive Conditions of Probation program for six months with the first 30 days spent on electronic monitoring. He was also ordered to pay a fine of $750, license suspended for a year, render 25 hours of community service, pay court costs of over $1,000 and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program. On a driving under suspension charge he was fined $1,000 and costs.
He was arrested on July 6, 2021, by Kidder Township police along Moseywood Road. A test revealed a 0.28 BAC.
