The Jim Thorpe Area School District Board of Education last night named William Cobb, Thompson, Pennsylvania, as elementary guidance counselor.

His salary was set at $11,550 a year and he will begin his duties on March 7.

Cobb has been serving in that capacity in the Dallas, Pennsylvania, School District for the past 1½ years and previously taught in the district for 2½ years after obtaining a master’s degree in 1975 from Shippensburg State College.
