Tax prep assistance

The Panther Valley Public Library will offer assistance to seniors age 60 and older who qualify for the rent/property tax rebate in preparing federal income tax form 1040 and the Pennsylvania tax return.

Patrons can drop off their tax information at the library at 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, on March 4 from 9 to 11 a.m. Appointments are required for these services.

Call the library at 570-645-3780 Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon or Thursday from 5-7 p.m. to schedule.

Lenten fish dinner

The Shrine of St. Therese, Madonna Hall, 1 E. Garibaldi Ave., Nesquehoning, will hold a preorder, takeout Lenten fish dinner from 3-6 p.m. on March 4.

The dinner includes breaded fish, mac and cheese, stewed tomatoes, coleslaw and string beans. The cost is $12 for adults, and $6 for children 12 and under.

Dinners must be ordered by March 1.

All proceeds from the dinner benefit the shrine.

Nesquehoning

Conservation Club

The Nesquehoning Conservation Club meeting will be Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Nesquehoning VFW, 300 E. Center St. Nesquehoning.

The group will discuss and plan a youth fishing day for this year.
