One person was injured Saturday evening when involved in a crash in Mahoning Township.

The crash occurred around 7 p.m. along Packerton Dam Road just west of Route 209.

The driver of a pickup was traveling east when he entered the right berm, hitting a utility pole and snapping it off.

The pickup then crossed the roadway, entering a lawn just missing a home before coming to rest on its side. The victim was treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics.

The Mahoning Valley and Lehighton fire companies responded to the scene.

Area fire police maintained traffic control at the scene shutting down the roadway.

Mahoning Township police are investigating the incident.
