Lehighton’s Aidan Gruber and Palmerton’s Daniel Lucykanish advanced to the finals at the District 11 Class 2A Tournament Saturday.

Gruber posted an 11-0 major decision over Tamaqua’s Gabe Erbe, the No. 2 seed, in their 113-pound semifinal.

The No. 3 seed, Gruber will face top seed Aiden Grogg of Saucon Valley in the finals. Grogg picked up a 7-0 decision over Cooper Feltman (Notre Dame GP) in their semifinal match.

Lucykanish, who is seeded second, advanced to the 160-pound finals with a 9-4 decision against Pen Argyl’s Gannon Brinker.

Lucykanish will face top seed Holden Garcia in the finals. Garcia pinned Northwestern’s Mason Brensinger in 4:48 in their semifinal match.

The consolation finals (third and fifth) will take place at 5:30 p.m. at Liberty, followed by the Parade of Champions at 7 and the 2A and 3A finals at 7:15.

The top four in Class 2A advance to next week’s regional tournament.
