State police at Fern Ridge
State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following incidents:
• On Feb. 18 at 9:22 a.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2013 Ford along Route 115 at Freedom Drive in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for traffic violations. The driver, Travis Perry, 33, of Brodheadsville, was suspected of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and was taken into custody for DUI.
Charges are pending test results.
• A traffic stop was conducted on Feb. 21 at 12:47 a.m. along Route 209 at Village Edge Drive, in Chestnuthill Township, of a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado truck. The driver, a 34-year-old man from Lansford, who troopers declined to identify, was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was taken into custody for DUI. A passenger, a 34-year-old man from Summit Hill, who troopers declined to identify, was found to have in his possession controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. Charges are pending.
• On Feb. 15 at 11:16 a.m. troopers responded to the 200 block of Scenic Drive, Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, for a report of a dog law violation. During the investigation it was discovered that a 18-year-old woman from Albrightsville, who troopers declined to identify, did not properly secure her dog. The dog then chased after a 44-year-old man from Albrightsville, and jumped on him and bit him in several places.
The teen was charged with a dog law violation.
• On Jan. 24 at 6:21 p.m. troopers were dispatched to the 300 block of Merwinsburg Road, in Chestnuthill Township, for a report of a crash. The driver, a 54-year-old woman from Albrightsville, who troopers declined to identify, was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. She was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. Charges are pending test results.
• On Feb. 19 at 3:04 a.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2007 Mercedes-Benz 350 at Route 115 and Allegheny Drive, in Tunkhannock Township, Monroe County, for a traffic violation. The driver, a 20-year-old woman from Henryville, who troopers declined to identify, was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and a controlled substance. A consent search of the vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia. She was taken into custody. Charges are pending test results.
