A skier was injured Sunday at Blue Mountain Resort near Palmerton.

Resort General Manager Jim Dailey said the incident occurred in the woods near the Razor’s Edge trail, a double black diamond trail.

“We were extremely saddened to learn that one of our guests was injured while skiing on Sunday,” Dailey said. “Following our extensive safety protocols, our ski patrol team treated the guest until transferring their care to the local EMS.”

Dailey said that out of respect for the privacy of the guest, the resort isn’t disclosing any personal information.

“The safety and security of our guests is always our utmost priority,” he said. “Our thoughts are with our guest and their family as they recover.”
