The single biggest Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority funding package that Carbon and Schuylkill counties have ever received was announced on behalf of the newly created Kline-Banks-McAdoo Regional Authority yesterday.

The PENNVEST financing, which will include grants and loans totaling $18 million, will benefit residents of the Borough of McAdoo and Kline Township in Schuylkill County and Banks Township in Carbon County.

The funding will be utilized to construct a new public sewerage system for the three municipalities.
