The Marian boys and Pleasant Valley girls basketball teams both recorded victories on Thursday.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Marian-Weatherly

Marian wrapped up its regular season with a 76-46 Schuylkill League win over Weatherly.

Brendan Lonergan scored 22 points for the Colts (15-7). Frank Valente (13 points) Julius Currie (12) and Jose Espaillat-Turbi (11) all hit double figures in the win.

Ricky Ray had a game-high 23 points for the Wreckers (2-19), while Frankie Willis added 12.

Pleasant Valley closed out its regular season with a 50-17 non-league win over Northern Lehigh.

Sam Merklin scored 13 of her 21 points in the second half for the Bears (11-11). Aryn Stivala scored 11 points, while Ella Muir added 10 for PV, which will now prepare for district playoffs.

Emma Niebell had eight points for the Bulldogs (12-10), who have also qualified for districts.
