Tamaqua police reported on the following incidents:
• A borough woman was cited for making threats against her neighbor after being charged with the same offenses three days earlier.
Police said on Feb. 3 at 1:49 p.m. a male resident of the 200 block of Market Street said his neighbor, Kim Lee Novak, 52, had threatened to have her nephew kill him and also repeatedly called him a racial slur.
As a result Novak was charged with terroristic threats, intimidation of a witness and harassment.
• Kimberly Taylor Lebak, 30, of 243 Lafayette St., Tamaqua, has been charged with retail theft.
On Feb. 9 officers said Lebak went to the Family Dollar store, located along Center Street, and while going through the aisles she was putting some items in a shopping cart but also putting other items in her coat pocket. She eventually went to the cash register and paid for some of the items that totaled over $425 for food and non-food items. The remainder she paid $33.25. She then proceeded past the register with out paying for the items that she concealed on her person.
She was later identified by the store manager as the person who stole the items. A check revealed that Lebak had an active warrant for her arrest out of New Jersey. A fugitive from justice complaint was then filed.
