State police investigate 4-vehicle crash

State police at Bethlehem reported investigating a four-vehicle crash at 5:34 p.m. on Feb. 2 along Route 329 in Allen Township, Northampton County.

Troopers said Willard M. Frack, 78, of Walnutport, driving a 1999 Dodge Ram truck; Ronald A. Krupa, 58, of Northampton, driving a 2021 Mazda CX-5; Carol A. Ouma, 41, of Coplay, driving a 2011 Lexus ES350; and a 17-year-old female from Northampton, driving a 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer; were all westbound. The teen stopped at the intersection with Howertown Road for a red light. Ouma stopped behind her and Krupa behind her.

Frack failed to stop and his vehicle struck the rear of Krupa’s vehicle causing a chain-reaction crash.

Krupa sustained a suspected minor injury and was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Allentown. No one else was injured. The Dodge, Mazda and Lexus had to be towed. The Mitsubishi was drivable, troopers said.

Frack was cited for a traffic light violation.

Troopers also investigated a crash at 10:54 a.m. on Feb. 5 along Indian Trail Road in Allen Township. Troopers said Luis A. Traverzo, 18, of Albrightsville, was driving a 2006 Lexus ES300 southbound and lost control on a left curve in the road. His car crossed over ice and snow on the road causing him to lose control. The vehicle left the road and struck a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation bridge.

Traverzo and his passenger, Rianna L. Velez, 18, of Blakeslee, were not injured. The vehicle had to be towed.

Traverzo was cited for the crash.

Police investigate Ross crash
