State police at Lehighton reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Carbon County roadways:
• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 5:15 a.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of East Lizard Creek Road (Route 895) and Friendship Road, in East Penn Township. Troopers said Todd M. Kuhns, 54, of Lehighton, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado truck southbound on Friendship Road when his vehicle traveled over an icy portion. Kuhns lost control of the truck which traveled through a stop sign at the intersection onto 895 while Kevin K. George, 58, of Lehighton, driving a 2015 Dodge Ram truck, was eastbound on 895. The Silverado subsequently struck the Ram. No one was injured.
Kuhns was cited for a stop sign violation.
• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 2:38 p.m. on Monday along Golf Road in Lower Towamensing Township. Troopers said a 17-year-old female from Palmerton was driving a 2002 Honda Odyssey westbound on Fireline Road and preparing to make a left turn onto Golf Road and was traveling too fast for road conditions.
The teen lost control of the vehicle due to speed and loose gravel. The vehicle slid sideways across the right southbound lane of Golf Road and onto a grassy berm where it struck a tree. The vehicle came to rest against the tree.
The teen sustained a suspected minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention.
She was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.
