Road work this week
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, but be advised that road work schedules may change as needed during COVID-19 mitigation or due to changes in the weather:
Lehigh County
• South Whitehall Township, Route 309 core boring work between Route 22 and Interstate 78, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday.
• City of Allentown, I-78 highway beautification between Exit 49 (Route 100) and Northampton County Line, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• Washington Township, Neffs Laurys Road/Church Road/Reservoir Road pothole patching between Route 145 and Mountain Road, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• South Whitehall Township, Orefield Road/Willow Street pothole patching between Route 309 and Church Street, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• Salisbury Township, Route 145 crack sealing between Versa Cruz Road and Union Street, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Monroe County
• Multiple municipalities: Interstate 80 West pothole patching between Exit 306 and Exit 298 (Scotrun), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.
• Multiple municipalities: I-80 East pothole patching between Exit 298 and Exit 306, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.
Northampton County
• Lower Saucon, Bethlehem, and Williams Townships: I-78 shoulder work between Exit 60 (Route 309) and Exit 75 (To Route 611), 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
• Palmer/Plainfield, Route 33 northbound lane restriction between Route 22 and Main Street, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.
• Palmer/Plainfield, Route 33 southbound lane restriction between Main Street (Tatamy) and Route 22, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.
