Nick and Marika Petruce of Mahoning Township announced plans to renovate a Carbon County landmark and convert it into the Hotel de Ville, a restaurant with accompanying hotel rooms.
The Petruces said they will convert the former Broney’s Hotel, a structure built in 1897, into their business venture.
The couple, who last summer operated the kitchen at the Mahoning Valley Country Club, initially plan to renovate the huge main floor dining room, followed by building an afternoon tea room with a samovar bar, and eventually hotel rooms to be furnished with antiques.
