A big second half lifted Lehighton to a 69-41 Schuylkill League win over Panther Valley.
Taylor Bowman and Charli McHugh had 15 points apiece for the Tribe (10-11, 5-9).
A win over Pocono Mountain East (6-14) in Friday’s regular season finale would clinch a District 11 playoff berth for Lehighton.
Maddison Maynard had 19 points for Panther Valley (2-19, 0-14). Sera Robin added 12.

BOYS BASKETBALL
North Schuylkill-Lehighton
North Schuylkill held off Lehighton for a 46-45 victory in Schuylkill League Division 1 action.
Jack Keiter led the Spartans (12-8, 9-4) with 13 points, while Zane Zulkowski added 10.
North Schuylkill’s game against Jim Thorpe (14-7, 9-4) on Friday will determine which team earns a wild card berth into the Schuylkill League playoffs.
Jack Lorenz scored 17 of his 19 points in the second half for the Indians (4-17, 1-12), who trailed 26-13 at halftime. Brayden Lutz added eight points.

With 5.1 seconds left on the clock and the score tied at 33-33, a quick three-pointer by Tamaqua’s Warhol put the Blue Raiders up 36-33 with 1.6 seconds on the clock.
Panther Valley’s Danny Wehr took a game-tying 3 at the buzzer but didn’t convert. Beriberi had 19 points to lead all scorers.
Tamaqua’s McCabe had 13 points in the win.

Jim Thorpe picked up a 36-31 win over Weatherly.
Cole Lazorick paced the Olympians with 14 points, while Jaxson Gehris added seven.
