Brendan Morgans of Nesquehoning recently received his white coat at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medical School in Bradenton, Florida.
The White Coat Ceremony is a rite of passage for medical students, where a white coat is placed on each student’s shoulders and the Hippocratic oath is recited, signifying their entrance in the medical profession.
Morgans, a 2017 Panther Valley High School graduate, earned his biology degree from Moravian College in 2021.
While at LECOM, Morgans continues his love of sports and community service by coaching a special-needs youth soccer team associated with the TOPSoccer Program. The Outreach Program for Soccer is a community-based training program for all athletes with intellectual and emotional and/or physical disabilities.
Morgans, the son of Rick and Jacqui Morgans, plans to pursue a career in pediatric medicine.
