February 5, 1963 - Ronnie Hydro scores 14 of his team-high 21 points in the second quarter as Jim Thorpe races to a big lead and holds off Lansford for a 70-53 Black Diamond League victory. Larry Morris tallies 10 of his 16 points in a second frame which sees the Olympians outscore their opponent by a 26-9 margin to gain a 24-point halftime advantage. The winners, coached by Kenny Kline, also receive eight points from both Jack Kmetz and George Armbruster. For the Panthers, Steve Zenko ends with a game-high 25 points.
