Monroe County crashes

State police at Stroudsburg reported two crashes in Monroe County:

• A one-vehicle crash occurred at 4:31 p.m. on Sunday along Interstate 80 westbound in Pocono Township.

Jolan M. Fitt, 18, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2006 Nissan 350Z westbound in the left lane when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a guide rail along the right side of the road. The vehicle spun further down the road before coming to final rest in the right lane.

Fitt was not injured, but the car was towed. Troopers noted the roadway was covered with a thin layer of snow. Fitt was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.

• A crash was reported at 1:10 p.m. on Saturday along Interstate 380 in Tunkhannock Township. Troopers said Candace V. McCoy, 33, of Tobyhanna, was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox northbound and the vehicle began to slid due to snowy conditions. The vehicle went onto the berm on the left side and overturned multiple times, coming to rest on its passenger side.

McCoy and her passenger, Patricio Diaz Martinex, 43, of Tobyhanna, were not injured. The vehicle was towed. She was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
