Nearly 100 people gathered last night in the American Legion Post Home in Lansford to form an organization whose mission is to better the community.
The steering committee include Mrs. Carolyn Sinclair, chairlady; Mrs. Cynthia G. Fairley, Mrs. Janice DeLay and Mrs. Betty Jane Ackerman.
A number of residents aired their grievances on topics that included snow removal, dog problems, rodent control, zoning ordinance violations and board of health enforcement issues, after which time the Concerned Residents and Taxpayers of Lansford organized.
Council members who attended included Howard Fredericks, Edith Marks and Masha Krajcirik.
