A fundraiser is set to be held in honor of a former Lehighton Marine.

The Jason Smith Memorial Tournament will be held Sunday at the Lehighton American Legion Post 314.

Registration is at 11 a.m. The event will get underway at noon.

The cost is $50 per team, and participants are asked to bring a partner.

Hosted by Coal Cracker Cornhole, the event will be held in memory of Smith, a Marine veteran who died this past September.

There will also be basket raffles, and food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Smith was a 1995 Lehighton Area High School graduate.
