A Jim Thorpe residence, reputedly inhabited by a member of the Warlocks motorcycle gang, was ripped by an explosion early this morning.

Jim Thorpe Borough police said they were called to investigate the blast at 117 North Ave. at 1:30 a.m. Members of the Jim Thorpe Fire Department and gas company officials were also called to the scene.

The two-story frame building is owned by Dennis Roman.

Earlier this morning, a reporter attempting to take a picture of the residence was reportedly told by people in the home to leave the property or face possible “violence.”
