State police at Lehighton reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 3:52 p.m. on Jan. 16 at the intersection of Silver Spring Boulevard and Borger Road, in Eldred Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Dawn Hallenbeck, 51, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2019 Ford Expedition westbound on Borger Road and stopped for a stop sign at the intersection. Stephanie E. Williams, 20, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2013 Ford F150 pickup truck southbound on Silver Spring Boulevard. Hallenbeck proceeded from the stop into the intersection without clearance to oncoming traffic and her vehicle was struck by Williams’ vehicle. The Expedition rotated about 180 degrees and came to final rest in the middle for the intersection. The truck continued straight and struck a guide rail on the right side of the road.

Hallenbeck had a minor injury and was taken to St. Luke’s Carbon Campus. Williams was not injured.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported on Jan. 16 at 6:02 p.m. along Silver Spring Boulevard. Ashley B. Whitney, 31, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu southbound. She told troopers she didn’t remember how the crash occurred but said that she lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle slid across the northbound lane and struck an embankment. The vehicle rode up the embankment at an angle that caused it to nose-drive where it struck the roadway. The vehicle began to spin counterclockwise and ultimately overturned and came to rest upright in the northbound lane. Troopers said there was snow on the road at the time.

Whitney, who had a suspected minor injury, was evaluated at the scene by West End ambulance personnel.

She was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.

• A hit-and-run crash was reported to have occurred on Jan. 15 at 1:08 a.m. at the intersection of Main and Wagner streets, in Franklin Township, Carbon County. Troopers said at 1067 Main St., an unknown type vehicle damaged an aluminum fence and side gutter to a residence. The driver then fled the scene.
